References

A reference is shown for a hadith and for nothing else. Not for verses of the Qurʾān, not for the opening, and not for the second khutbah - those are not quotations that need attributing.

What counts as a source

The source has to be the book the hadith is actually in - Bukhārī, Muslim, Abū Dāwūd, Tirmidhī, Ibn Mājah, a Musnad. Not a later gathering such as Riyāḍ aṣ-Ṣāliḥīn or Mishkāt al-Maṣābīḥ: citing one of those says where somebody found the hadith rather than where it comes from. It is written in Arabic, with Arabic numerals, like everything else on the page.

Nothing is shown until a person has checked it

Each hadith is matched against a primary source and its wording compared word by word. That is only ever a proposal: it is then read and confirmed by hand, one at a time, against the collection itself. Until that has happened the site shows nothing at all under the hadith, because a wrong source is worse than none.

This is why references appear gradually rather than all at once. They are being worked through, and each khutbah is checked in full before it is published.

A full list

A page listing every hadith in the library with its source is being put together and will go here. In the meantime each confirmed source sits under its own hadith on the khutbah it belongs to.
